The concept is surprisingly simple. Tacos and wine as the name suggests, with a few crazy food appetizers mixed in for good measure, Oh, beer. This all from the brilliant minds of Sharon Van Meter and wine expert Jimmy Contreras. We are talking about Taco y Vino the latest hot spot in Bishop Arts. Continue reading

Tacos and Tequila Tour April 14

20110424-tacos-morelos - 11by Steven Doyle

I rarely ever talk about personal business on craveDFW but I want to share a little story that, to me, is a bit fun and involves history.

Eight years ago I had an idea that was born from my weekly habit of taking friends around Dallas for mini food tours. We would start about noon and bounce around town sampling various dishes that I thought were relevant that week. It is not thick or chunky, but instead smooth and velvety with a huge power punch of flavor.    Continue reading

Making a great taco has not escaped the hands of chef Mo Assi who was formerly executive chef at Perry’s Steakhouse, Dallas Chop House, Lawry’s and Capital Grille for a dozen years. The man definitely knows meat and he is also familiar with what the people in North Texas want to eat. Assi opened Crush Taco a little over a year ago and has been crushing the taco scene since.
