Clapner Hosting Chocolate Event at Las Colinas Beverage

Recently Katherine Clapner of Dude, Sweet Chocolate has been taking her wares on the road.  Last week she could be found at the Bottle Shop on Greenville Avenue pairing chocolate with beer.  This Friday she is pairing wines with chocolate, and then Saturday she moves on to cheese.

As many know, Clapner is about the unexpected when it comes to her chocolate and she delights in showing its versatility. Pairing chocolate with wine might be more expected, but matching chocolate with cheese and beer gives us insight to her charm.    

Las Colinas Beverage Friday, November 18, 5pm to 8pm
Thanksgiving wines will also be sampled and paired with Dude, Sweet Chocolate.2009 Calera Pinot Noir, Central Coast, California (92 points Wine Advocate), $29.99, $28.99 during tasting
2009 Chateau Julien Gewurztraminer (white), Monterrey, California, $14.99, $13.99 during tasting
Louis Perdrier Brut Rose (French sparkling wine), $9.99, $8.99 during tasting

Las Colinas Beverage is well known for their vast craft beer and wine selections, perhaps Clapner might give some chocolate and beer advice.
