People’s Choice Food Truck Winner: Nammi

by Steven Doyle

The votes are in and the people have spoken. It was a hot and contested week with the People’s Choice Award for Best DFW Food Truck. There were ten times more votes for this category than any other we have done so far.

Played honorably, the various trucks sent in teams of their followers to vote and it worked well. Seems food trucks have a stronger loyalty than any other business if this non-scientific voting procedure dictates anything.

Ssahm BBQ, which makes gourmet Korean BBQ, and Jack’s Chowhound fared very well in the voting process. Gandolfo’s came in with a late start but built strong momentum.

But there can only be one winner of the coveted People’s Choice Award and that top honor goes to Nammi Truck which serves fine Vietnamese cuisine that includes tacos and a variety of banh mi sandwiches.

Along with this win we award a gift certificate to commenter Zed in the random drawing.

Congratulations everyone. This just proves that food trucks have the hearts and bellies of DFW.  Another category starts Monday.
