One of Dallas’ Most Private Dining Rooms Is Open to Everyone This Mother’s Day

Most people in Dallas have walked past The Crescent, looked up at that postcard Uptown skyline, and assumed whatever is happening on the 17th floor of the office tower is none of their business. They are mostly right. The Crescent Club sits up there in the manner of a private club from another era — hardwood floors, deep wood paneling, panoramic views over the Dallas skyline — and on a normal day it is open only to members and hotel guests. Mother’s Day is not a normal day.

On Sunday, May 10, Hotel Crescent Court is opening the Crescent Club to everyone for a full brunch service, and the spread they are putting together is worth the occasion. This is not a hotel ballroom buffet. The room is genuinely beautiful, the views are some of the best in the city, and the food is being built around a menu that justifies the price.

The seafood station covers crab claws, oysters, jumbo shrimp, and sushi. The carving station runs Texas wagyu and lamb. There are made-to-order omelets, an artisan cheese and charcuterie spread, and a dessert table that includes a coffles station — that is waffles made to order with berries and mascarpone, if you have not encountered the word before. Every adult arrives to a complimentary mimosa, which is the right way to open a Sunday morning.

Brunch runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pricing is $155 per adult, $65 for children six to twelve, and complimentary for children under six. Reservations are required and can be booked here.

If brunch is not the right fit, the hotel is also offering a one-day Mother’s Day version of their monthly afternoon tea service, called A Legacy of Love: Mother’s Day Tea in the Garden. The garden at Hotel Crescent Court is one of the quieter and more genuinely pretty outdoor spaces in Uptown — easy to overlook unless you know it is there. The tea service brings a curated selection of savories, pastries, and sweets alongside premium teas, live music, and a glass of champagne for adult guests. It is a slower, more intimate option for someone who would rather linger over a pot of tea than navigate a brunch crowd.

Both events are this Sunday only. The brunch in particular fills fast — the Crescent Club does not hold a large number of covers, and the room will be at capacity. If you are still figuring out what to do for Mother’s Day, this is the answer.

Hotel Crescent Court is at 100 Crescent Court in Uptown Dallas. The Crescent Club is located at 200 Crescent Court, 17th floor. Reservations for brunch can be made at crescentcourt.com.
