Rahr Hoops and Hops Pub Crawl

by Jerry Stewart

Camp Bowie District and Rahr & Sons Brewing Company are sponsoring a pub crawl Monday, April 2, 2012 starting at 6pm. For a mere $6 you get started with a commemorative Rahr pint glass, then each beer afterwards will run you another $3 each.

Each leg of the crawl will feature a different beer paired with a special edible. Oscar’s Pub will be featuring Texas Red, an ultra smooth amber lager that will pair well with flatbread offered for $5.

Jake’s Burgers is the next stop featuring Rahr’s Blonde, a medium-bodied Helles Lager that features a rounded maltiness without being too heavy. Jake’s will also have special sliders for $3.

Baker Street Pub and Grill will offer the Bucking Boch from Rahr which is a traditional German-style boch, and offering both fish and chips and a shepherd’s pie each for $4.99.

The District is a not-for-profit public improvement organization dedicated to beautification projects for the Boulevard, promoting and driving traffic to its businesses, spurring economic development, and hosting special community events such as the Fort Worth Music Festival, Camp Bowie Christmas, Glory Days Classic Car Show and more. The historic Boulevard is divided into three distinct zones, each offering its own unique feel — The Bricks, Ridglea and Camp Bowie West.

Mark your calendars for this unique pub crawl.
