Ian Tate has been named Executive Chef of Salum and Komali restaurants in Uptown. Chef Tate’s DFW experiences have included helping to open the Brownstone in Fort Worth as well as Rathbun’s Blue Plate Kitchen and was former executive chef of Nova. The announcement was made by chef-owner Abraham Salum.  Ian has worked in restaurants from New Orleans to Natchez and was formerly with the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington DC.

“The diversity of Ian’s experience is a welcome addition to the unique and diverse teams of Salum and Komali,” says Salum.

You may recall we announced that Al Havens left Salum back in October, and Komali’s Anastacia Quinones has been working part time as executive chef after she took a position at DISD as a culinary teacher.

Both Salum and Komali are located at 4152 Cole Avenue.
