Pecan pie often brings up notions of Thanksgiving for many, but at our office every day is a good pie day and pecan is one of the tops that can be found. Imagine the excitement when we discovered the Jack Daniels Pecan Pie at YO Ranch Steakhouse in Dallas’ West End. This is the unique steakhouse that is a send up to the Texas Hill Country ranch by the same name.
We recently checked out the steakhouse and found that it was pretty sublime, and this pecan pie is merely one more slice to that beautiful menu with a sweet custard made with Texas grown pecans and served with a lush Jack Daniels crème anglaise.
On the savory side we enjoyed the chicken fried lobster, beautifully marbled 44 Farms steaks and so much more. But this sweet ending has us begging for a return visit.
