Experience Happy Hour Next Door

nd3by Steven Doyle

Our weekly Happy Hour series took us to Next Door recently where we were able to sample fine cocktails and  whimsical bar food with a view. Located at 2908 McKinney Avenue Next Door is half patio and have cozy restaurant and bar.

Look for some fun bar bites that are big enough to share including the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Dumplings (8), Tuna Poke Nachos served on crisped wonton with wasabi crema (14), a bevy of steak sliders (14). There are so many delicious options and they are all half price during Happy Hour all-day Wednesday and Thursday through Sunday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m

Or go big with the now famous eight-ounce seasoned angus brisket-shortrib blend, bacon jam, arugula, marinated tomato on a stuffed smoked gouda bun, served with bi fries. This is the burger that streams smoking hot cheese when you slice into the cheesy loaded bun. Fun, messy and seriously delicious.

Cocktails are not an after thought at this Happy Hour as there are many to choose from. Next Door is making people happy with $3 domestic beers, $4 wine and $5 specialty cocktails, plus half-price appetizers and pizzas. That’s a whole lot of food and drinks for not a lot of cash.

Each Thursday night, ladies are encouraged to gather some friends and head to Next Door for a high-energy evening featuring $1 glasses of bubbly, half-price mules and a DJ.
