JMBLYA Back in Texas May 4-6

ScoreMore Shows is proud to announce the full music lineup for the sixth annual JMBLYA, which will return to Dallas, Austin, and Houston on May 4, 5, and 6, respectively. GA and VIP tickets are on sale now.

Headlining the 2018 fest will be North Carolinian, Grammy-nominated emcee J. Cole, who continues to prep for the highly-anticipated follow up project to the critically-acclaimed, platinum-certified album 4 Your Eyez Only. New additions to the 2018 lineup include two of the most sought-after acts in hip-hop today, both of whom are Grammy-nominated, as well – Atlanta-based trap-rappers Migos, whose recently released Culture II album just hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and Bronx-born Cardi B, who continues to dominate the radio charts this year after debuting her No. 1 smash hit “Bodak Yellow” in late 2017. With “Bodak Yellow”, Cardi B is the first woman rapper to score an unassisted No. 1 hit on the Billboard 100 charts since Lauryn Hill did the same nearly two decades ago. Cardi B is also featured on the debut single “Motorsport” from Migos’ recent album.

Also set to grace the main stages at JMBLYA 2018 will be Kevin Gates, whose performance will mark the first show currently announced from the hustler-turned-rapper since recently being released from his incarceration that began in fall of 2016. This year’s lineup will also include one of today’s hottest up-and-coming rappers, Playboi Carti, who continues to ride high from the success of last year’s debut project that included the viral hit “Magnolia”. Several leaders in today’s SoundCloud rap scene are set to perform, including Trippie Redd and Ski Mask The Slump God. Additional performers include Cozz, a South Central LA-bred, up-and-coming rapper signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville Records; Toronto-based emcee Killy; YouTube star-turned rapper Jack Harlow; along with very special guests—and two of Texas’ most beloved rappers—Bun B and Trae Tha Truth, as well as Houston’s own DJ Mr. Rogers.

In the tradition of years past, JMBLYA will offer festival-goers a stacked lineup filled to the brim with a highly curated selection of performers that blends together some of today’s biggest national acts with exciting up-and-comers. This year’s event is set to officially kick off in Dallas on May 4 with a return to Fair Park, followed by a stop at the award-winning, multi-purpose entertainment facility Circuit of The Americas (COTA) Lot A in Austin on Saturday, May 5, where attendees will enjoy free on-site parking. Last year, both locations hosted JMBLYA’s largest crowds to date with 25,000+ attendees.

The traveling Texas festival will then roll into a brand new location—Sam Houston Race Park in northwest Houston—to wrap up Day 3 on Sunday, May 6. This return to Houston marks the end to a long-awaited hiatus in H-Town since the event’s inception in 2013. With this return to Houston, festival producers ScoreMore Shows are also reestablishing their foothold in the final remaining major Texas market currently lacking one of their signature music events. Current festival properties include Neon Desert Music Festival in El Paso and Mala Luna Music Festival in San Antonio, along with JMBLYA.

GA tickets for each stop on the traveling Texas tour are on sale now. Similar to previous years, JMBLYA will also offer several types of VIP packages for those looking to elevate their on-site experience. The VIP options this year start with the Pinky Rang VIP, which will provide expedited festival entry through a VIP-only entrance, a premium VIP viewing area, a commemorative laminate, and access to the dedicated bar and air-conditioned bathrooms. Gator Boots VIP features all of the previously listed amenities and complimentary official festival merch. Festival attendees who opt to purchase Fur Coat VIP will have access to all previously listed on-site comforts, as well as elevated viewing decks, and will receive an official JMBLYA hoodie.

In a continued effort to improve the overall experience for attendees, several notable changes are set to take place at the 2018 events, including expanded water filling stations at all locations with an unlimited amount of free water through a new partnership with Event Water Solutions. Other key upgrades to the festival-going experience will include double the number of food vendors in GA and more food options in VIP, increased size of all bars and expanding to feature special bars dedicated to nonalcoholic offerings, and more shade structures to stay cool.
