Rudolph Makes His Appearance at Winspear Dec 15th

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today that tickets for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical, sponsored by Children’s Health, are on sale NOW! Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will perform two shows on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District. DFWChild is the official media partner for the Family Entertainment season. Center Members get access to the best available seats.

History of the Soup Dumpling and Where to Nab Them in Dallas

Few things rock my world as much as xiao long bao. The mighty dumpling power-packed with a meatball, (beef, pork, crab, the usual round up) supplied with a generous amount of broth and pleated into a package of steamed love.

Most agree that the xiao long bao’s story begins in the Shanghai suburb of Nanxiang over nearly 150 years ago. It is believed that Huang Mingxian wanted to create a dumpling that would surprise and delight the guests of his restaurant, Ri Hua Xuan. The elegant pleated dumpling was made by adding aspic – or a jellified meat stock – to pork mince, so that once steamed the aspic would melt, thereby filling the inside of the dumpling with a flavorsome broth. The Dallas Mavericks, American Airlines and Nick & Sam’s are proud to partner again for the 15^th annual Seats for Soldiers, a one-of-a-kind experience to honor our nation’s heroes. More than 100 wounded service members from Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio will join reservists from the Texas Army National Guard to enjoy dinner at Nick & Sam’s Park Cities, as well as courtside seats at the Dallas Mavericks vs. Orlando Magic game on Nov. 6 at American Airlines Center.
