Kome, a new sushi and handroll bar has opened in the space previously occupied by Sushi De Handroll at The Hill in Dallas. Kome is located at 8041 Walnut Hill Ln St 820 in Dallas.
The owner is Roy Ahn, who opened several Japanese spots over the years in the DFW area, such as Sushi Zen in Southlake and Zena Sushi in Coppell. During a two-year hiatus, he dove into construction and even donuts, but now he is back in action with the help of his close friend Sean Kim.
Let’s take a look at some dishes we sampled recently.

The menu offers individual handrolls as well as combinations, nigiri and sashimi, specialty rolls and specials each day. Drinks include beer, wine and sake. Full bar coming soon.

Truffle Ponzu Salmon
What makes their handrolls standout is the nori. The seaweed is the crispiest we’ve ever tasted. Kome uses a premium roasted version from Japan that is quite pricey.

Yellowtail Handroll
The space features a large, twenty-one seat u-shaped bar as well as several booths. They’ve done an extensive redesign while leaving in place the decorative wall mural from the days of Sushi De Handroll. Take a peek below at some of the highlights from our visit.
Kome is open for lunch and dinner six days a week. Closed on Mondays.
