Monarch to Host Exclusive IWA 5 Sake Dinner with Legendary Winemaker Richard Geoffroy on May 30th

Monarch, the wood-fired, modern Italian restaurant led by two-time Michelin-starred Chef Danny Grant, will host an elegant evening alongside legendary winemaker Richard Geoffroy, renowned for his 28-year tenure at Dom Pérignon and now at the helm of IWA Sake, as Founder & Maker since its inception in 2019. 

The IWA 5 Sake Dinner will take place on Thursday, May 30th, 2024, and will feature enthralling anecdotes from Richard’s extensive journey in the wine world along with carefully crafted courses of Italian fare paired with four unique IWA 5 Assemblages.

Guests will delight in sampling four distinct Assemblages, including the highly anticipated release of IWA 5 – Assemblage 4. Each pour will be served at varying temperatures, from chilled to gently warmed, preceded by a toast with Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013. Throughout the evening, Geoffroy will offer insights into his winemaking ethos, providing a rare glimpse into his visionary approach to crafting IWA in Toyama, Japan, and showcasing its remarkable versatility as it harmonizes with a myriad of flavors and textures in each dish.
