On Deck Concepts, the restaurant group behind BoomerJack’s Grill, Sidecar Social, and Bedford Icehouse, has announced it will be rebranding its four original BoomerJack’s stores, which were initially called BoomerJack’s Wings, as District 21 Sports Kitchen, with the second opening its doors in Mesquite, Texas on Friday, June 21.
This marks the restaurant’s second conversion. The first occurred earlier this month in Murphy, Texas. The rebranding initiative in the BoomerJack’s Wings stores, located in Murphy, Mesquite, Denton, and Casa Linda (Dallas), marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for these locations, with plans to expand the District 21 Sports Kitchen brand in the DFW market. The transition involves subtle changes, such as updating signage, refreshing artwork, introducing new menu items such as District 21 Pizza, and adopting new uniforms. Rather than a complete brand overhaul, the shift is more about evolution than revolution, allowing for these locations to be celebrated as the local neighborhood sports focused hangout that they have always been.
“We love these locations, but they are so different from the BoomerJack’s Grill locations that they almost feel like a different restaurant,” said Brent Tipps, Owner and CEO of On Deck Concepts. “So we are giving them their own name and persona with plans to grow the District 21 Sports Kitchen brand as we also grow the BoomerJack’s brand. The teams are remaining the same, the buildings aren’t changing aside from the name, the classic scratch-made BoomerJack’s food and the best drink deals in town will still be there, just under a different name.”
BoomerJack’s Mesquite will officially open its doors on Friday as District 21 Sports Kitchen and will offer game-day bar fare centered around a brand new lineup of pizzas, as well as wings, new wing sauces, shareables, burgers, and more. It will also have incredible drinks specials, such as Margarita Wednesday, featuring $5 All Star Ritas, Big Beer Thursday, featuring $4 tall drafts and $3 green tea shots, plus all-day happy hour, and much more.
“District 21 Sports Kitchen is a place where everyone can come and relax, watch their favorite games, enjoy some delicious food and cold drinks for a wallet-friendly price,” Tipps said. “It’s all about bringing the community together for some good times, great food, and a lot of fun.” District 21 Sports Kitchen in Mesquite is located at 1200 E. Davis St., Ste. 104, Mesquite, TX 75149, and is open daily, Monday – Sunday, 11 a.m. to midnight.
