Sueño Brings Its Dreamy, Elevated Mexican Dining to Snider Plaza

Sueño — which fittingly translates to “dream” — is getting ready to bring its award-winning take on elevated Mexican dining to 6600 Snider Plaza in early 2026. After the huge success of its original Richardson location, which debuted in late 2021, the new Dallas outpost will feature a live-fire kitchen, a stunning design, and the same signature warmth and craftsmanship that have made the restaurant one of North Texas’ most beloved modern Mexican concepts.

The Bellomy Hospitality Group — the local, family-owned team behind S&D Oyster Co., Rex’s Seafood, and the new New Orleans-inspired lounge Caché — is joining forces with Sueño founders Julio Pineda and Cristian Lujano to bring this next chapter to life. Together, they’re continuing to shape one of the most forward-thinking Mexican dining experiences in the region.

At the heart of the new Snider Plaza location is a live-fire kitchen that doubles as both visual spectacle and creative engine. It’s where chefs will experiment with smoke, flame, and refined technique to create exclusive dishes inspired by the vibrant energy of Mexico City’s culinary scene. Expect ingredient-driven plates that strike a balance between modern innovation and deep-rooted tradition.

The cocktail program remains just as vital to the experience. Guests can look forward to handcrafted drinks that highlight fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and artistic presentation — each one designed to complement the restaurant’s smoky, seasonal character.

“Sueño has always been about more than food,” says Co-Founder Julio Pineda. “It’s about creating an experience that feels both familiar and unexpected. With Snider Plaza, we’re expanding that vision — inviting guests to share in the next chapter of our story through fire, flavor, and community.”

Co-founder Julio Pineda, born in Mexico City and raised in Texas, comes from a family with deep roots in hospitality. Before launching Sueño, he helped lead another beloved restaurant in Richardson, where the family name became synonymous with heartfelt Mexican food and community. Today, Pineda oversees everything from menu development to the restaurant’s overall creative direction.

His cousin and co-founder Cristian Lujano, also from Mexico City, grew up in Texas and has spent his career immersed in hospitality. After refining his craft in upscale Mexican restaurants, he developed a passion for beverage programs that blend authenticity with artistry. At Sueño, Lujano leads the guest experience — shaping service standards and ensuring the welcoming spirit that defines the restaurant shines through every visit.

The Snider Plaza location spans 6,259 square feet, with seating for 116 guests inside, 38 on the patio, and 23 in the intimate speakeasy-style lounge. Designed through a collaboration between Mexico City’s JSa and Arlington-based ch_Studio, the space will capture the soul of modern Mexico with warm textures, minimalist design, and thoughtful architectural details. The result: a setting that feels at once contemporary and transportive — refined but full of heart.

A Dream Continued

Since its debut in 2021, Sueño has earned a loyal following for its elevated yet approachable Mexican menu, refined cocktails, and genuine hospitality. With its expansion to Snider Plaza, the restaurant continues to redefine what modern Mexican dining can be — authentic, inventive, and always full of soul.
