Hunter Pond’s Vandelay Companies Acquires Ten Ramen, Bringing Second Location to West Village in Spring 2026

Vandelay Companies, led by Hunter Pond, officially announces the acquisition of TEN Ramen, one of Dallas’ most celebrated ramen spots for more than a decade.

The group plans to open a second location at 3699 McKinney Ave #107, Dallas, TX 75204 (former Cru Wine Bar space), in the pedestrian-friendly West Village Spring 2026.

“I’ve been a longtime fan of who is arguably one of Texas’ most respected chefs – founder and creator Teiichi Sakurai – and what TEN Ramen embodies,” says Hunter Pond, CEO of Vandelay Companies.

Originally opened in March 2015, inside the Sylvan | Thirty mixed-use project in West Dallas, TEN Ramen earned an incredibly devoted following with its tiny, 10-seat setup and uncompromisingly authentic flavors.

At the time, it was a ground-breaking concept for Dallas and is still one of the most beloved ramen spots in the city. Diners flocked to wait in long lines with much anticipation. From Mazemen to Shoyu, Tonkotsu, and Lobster Ramen, every bowl is a labor of love and crafted with recipes that bring the distinct, nuanced flavors of Japan straight to Texas.

Pond continues, “When the opportunity came to bring this incredible concept into our family of restaurants, I jumped at it. Our new West Village location will give more diners the chance to experience the ramen we’ve loved and respected for years.”

The new location measuring an estimated 1,480 square feet, promises a fresh take on the TEN Ramen experience. With a full-service bar, seating 7, and an intimate dining room seating 28, the space will feel approachable and lively while staying true to the dishes that made TEN Ramen a local favorite.

Vandelay Companies is designing the space, ensuring it reflects the neighborhood’s energy while maintaining the warmth and craft of the original location.

“We haven’t touched the recipes, they’re perfect just as they are,” Pond emphasized. “After many months under our ownership already, it remains clear that the magic is in the food, the service, and the experience. Our goal with this new location is simple: bring what we feel is the best ramen in Dallas to more people, in a space that feels both fresh and familiar.”
