Tonight I will be checking out the menu at Peak and Elm Cocina, the new restaurant which is about to open in East Dallas. La Popular Expands At Dallas Farmers Market To Serve Texas Brews

Look for La Popular, one of the most popular tamale makers in Dallas, to bring you something more than fantastic fresh-made chips, salsa and tamales. La Popular recently expanded  their Shed Two location at the Dallas Farmers Market with an actual kitchen to prepare such offerings as enchiladas, tostadas, flautas, and quesadillas.  Also look for the tamale maker to add Texas-made beers to the restaurant’s roster.

“My father has always been adamant about using the highest quality of ingredients and trying to find what we need at the Farmers Market. Everyone in the family who takes part in the business is expected to be knowledgeable in everything from washing the pots and pans to managing the kitchen,” said Jesse Moreno, Jr. about the new project.    Continue reading
