Addison Kaboom Town! Air Show and Fireworks July 3rd

On the evening of Wednesday, July 3, the sky above Addison, Texas, will explode with more than just fireworks. As part of the 40th anniversary of Addison Kaboom Town!, one of America’s most celebrated Independence Day traditions, a jaw-dropping aerial spectacle will take flight—turning the North Texas skyline into a canvas of power, precision, and pyrotechnic artistry.

Before the first spark of fireworks ignites, all eyes will turn upward at 7:30 p.m. for the legendary Addison Airport Air Show—a treasured prelude that has earned its own spot in the hearts of over half a million annual spectators. With dazzling aerobatics and soaring salutes from historic aircraft, the show is visible from miles away and is woven into the very fabric of Kaboom Town! tradition.

Kaboom Town Addison July 3rd

On Wednesday, July 3, fabulous fireworks won’t be the only thing launching across the North Texas skies above the Town of Addison. As has been the tradition for decades, the award-winning fireworks show will be preceded by an aerial spectacle that can be seen from miles away. The Addison Airport Air Show will begin at 7:30 p.m. that evening, two hours prior to the Addison Kaboom Town! fireworks show.

Town of Addison Announces 2024 Special Event Dates

Addison is known as the place to gather and celebrate with great music, food and fun – it’s where memories happen. The Town’s legendary special events attract tens of thousands of people to North Texas with talented musical guests, memorable visual displays, dancing and more. For 2024, Addison’s signature festivals Taste Addison, Addison Kaboom Town! and Addison Oktoberfest will return along with a special celebration centered around the solar eclipse in April, Total Eclipse of the Park.

Addison Kaboom Town Returns July 3rd

For nearly four decades, one of the nation’s most impressive and unique Independence Day celebrations has been held in the North Texas town of Addison. While 4.4 square-mile Addison is only home to 16,000 residents, more than a half-million guests from across the nation come to celebrate Addison Kaboom Town! each July 3.

The celebration is citywide, with watch parties at many of Addison’s 200+ restaurants (the Town has more restaurants per capita than any other city in the U.S.!), 22 hotels, and at a fantastic, limited-capacity party in the 12-acre Addison Circle Park. The fireworks, presented by  Luzianne Tea, and the incredible Addison Airport Airshow can be seen from anywhere in town.

Addison Kaboom Town Returns For A 2021 Blast, July 3rd

For more than three decades, Addison Kaboom Town!, delivered by Gopuff, has thrilled fans with its unparalleled 25-minute fireworks show choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack that is radio simulcast to hundreds of thousands of fans across the 4.4-square-mile town. The 2021 show is sure to thrill – as it’s even larger than ever before! This year, pandemic precautions necessitated some minor changes. City organizers hope to share tips to make every visit a fabulous celebration of American Independence.
