Last night marked the second craveDFW happy hour and we celebrated with incredible Maker’s Mark 46 cocktails and bites of Ranger Rolls made by chef Brad Albers at Eddie V’s on Oak Lawn.
The beautiful lounge was the perfect setting for the happy hour that filtered on into watching the World Series at the bar.
We weren’t aware that Mike Modano was a craveDFW reader, but he joined the action last evening as well as many others that we were excited to finally meet in person.
The drink of the night was a three way tie between the Old Fashion, the Whiskey Sour or the Manhattan all made with the Maker’s 46, which we found out later from another reveler in attendance, Michael Glazer, was aptly named from the batch series it took to get it correct. Killer cocktails were not the only thing on the menu last night. We also enjoyed one of the best calamari dishes in Dallas, along with the largest stone crabs we have ever seen.
Thank you to the staff at Eddie V’s including general manager Mario Vega and marketing wiz Jennifer Phoenix for a wonderful evening. Also a special shout out to Oh* Brownie for supplying the crowd with tasty treats to take home.
