Kearney Takes Leave of Nick and Sams to Replace Ehlert

Scuttlebutt is always fun. Word on the street is that Taylor Kearney from Nick and Sams is leaving his corporate chef position to take over the Front Room at the Hotel Lumen. Front Room chef Michael Ehlert is taking a leave and we should hear more about where he is going later, after a bit of travel.

Oak Highlands Brewery Grand Opening July 18th

Summer in Dallas is about to get a lot more hoppy Oak Highlands Brewery (OHB) – Lake Highlands’ first craft brewery – set to celebrate its grand opening July 18 with a public event from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oak Highlands Brewery is a production brewery and taproom in the Lake Highlands area.

Lake Highlands’ neighborhood production brewery and taproom has been several years in the making by local dads Brad Mall and Derrin Williams.  Along with their families and their OHB team, they are proud to extend an invitation to the public to join them on July 18th at 10484 Brockwood in Dallas. Tickets to the OHB Grand Opening, $16.82 in advance and $20 at the door, are available for immediate purchase. A limited number of tickets will be sold for this event – tickets are not guaranteed to be available at the door.  Continue reading
