Anniversary Wine Dinner At LOCAL Feb 22

If you’ve been following the hubbub that the Deep Ellum staple, LOCAL has been jamming then you will have seen that they are celebrating their 15-year anniversary throughout February.  From a complimentary champagne cocktail for all guests that dine at the restaurant, to a special anniversary-tasting menu, the festivities at one of Dallas’ favorite restaurants are continuing.

LOCAL will host the Lord Sandwich dinner featuring Smith Story Wine Cellars on Thursday, February 22 to round out its month of celebrations. The wine dinner will feature four delicious food and wine pairings with Chef Tracy Miller’s delectable dishes, and wines from Smith Story. Guests can attend the Lord Sandwich Wine Dinner for $95, with $15 from each seat sold going to Doodle Rock Rescue.  

Doodle Rock Rescue was founded in March of 2017 with the mission to place doodles in wonderful forever homes. Doodle Rock Rescue is a non-profit organization located in Dallas that places doodles in temporary foster homes to work on their individual health and emotional needs before adoption.

Throughout the month of February, LOCAL will also collect socks as part of the Socks For Sandwich initiative, a donation drive that collects socks for those in need. Additionally, for every bottle of Lord Sandwich Red Table Wine sold, a new pair of socks will be given to someone in need. The socks will be donated to The Family Place, the largest family violence service provider in North Texas.

Smith Story Wine Cellars was established by husband and wife Eric and Ali in May of 2013. Alison Smith, grew up in the DFW Metroplex and married Northern California native Eric Story .Smith Story Wine Cellars is based the Russian River Valley AVA and has a winery tasting room in the Anderson Valley AVA. In 2014 along with their dear Goldendoodle, Lord Sandwich, Ali Story founded a non-profit Socks For Sandwich, that donates new socks to the needy.
