Neon Kitchen, a lounge serving small bites, cocktails on tap and craft cocktails has opened in the old Beauty Bar space in Deep Ellum. The menu features rich and hearty small bites of dim sum, sushi and izakaya.

Tokyo – Green Chartreuse, Shochu, Luxardo, Wasabi, Edible Flower

Osaka – Umeshu, Cherry Blossom, Roku Gin, Sage, Salted Pomelo

Neon Kitten’s interior is eclectic, retro-cool. Expansive floral murals in flamboyant shades of pink and blue painted by local artist Isaak Davies dominate the walls and set the tone for the menu’s array of colorful sips and bites. Light fixtures – some festooned with cherry blossoms and others with baby pink fringe – accompany Chinese-themed tables, richly hued lounge chairs, and brass accent pieces.

The food menus range from $6 to $12 with dim sum classics like prawn and pork siu mai, shrimp har gau and mushroom dumplings. Sushi will begin rolling out in the next week to two weeks.
