Hawthorn, the Steak, Seafood and Raw Bar Concept in the AT&T Discovery District Launches Brunch

Hawthorn, the steak, seafood and raw bar concept in the AT&T Discovery District is now open for brunch Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The district’s newest restaurant combines upscale dining with a down-home, relatable atmosphere, creating an inviting space to enjoy decadent dishes and craft cocktails. Guests will enjoy a brunch menu with classic American dishes ranging from sweet to savory with a unique twist.   

Hawthorn focuses on utilizing high-quality ingredients in all their dishes including prime beef, daily-delivered wild seafood, organically grown product and humanely raised pork and chicken. 

Richard Ellman, Founder of Route 62 Hospitality and Owner of Hawthorn says, “We’re looking forward to serving our guests a thoughtful selection of brunch items just in time for warmer weather and perfect for enjoying on our patio in the AT&T Discovery District. Some classic American brunch items are on the menu as well as some creative new takes on familiar dishes along with refreshing brunch cocktails to pair.”

The brunch menu features a variety of toasts such as Goat Cheese & Honey – whole wheat toast, whipped goat cheese, Texas raw honey pecans; Avocado Toast – sourdough, miso whipped ricotta, pickled shallot togarashi; and Brioche Toast – thick cut brioche, honey whipped butter, seasonal jam, peanut butter. Guests can expect breakfast-inspired pizzas such as the Grand Slam Pizza – gravy, sausage, bacon, hash, scramble eggs, cheddar cheese; and Chorizo & Jalapeño – red sauce, fresh jalapeño, mozzarella, chorizo, fried egg. 

Entrée highlights include the Sunny Side Burger – wagyu, hashbrown, avocado, lettuce, pickle, tomato, onion, fried egg, fries; Hawthorn Hot Mess – white toast, chicken strips, mash potatoes, brown gravy fried eggs; House Made Poptart – seasonal jam and glaze; Fruity Pebble French Toast – brioche bread, maple syrup, whip cream, fresh strawberries; Chilaquiles – fried eggs, corn, black beans, red sauce, queso fresco; Biscuits & Gravy – house made country style biscuits, pork sausage gravy, two eggs your way; and Belgian Waffle with fresh strawberries and house made whipped cream.

Refreshing brunch cocktails are offered to pair with the entrees including the Mint Grapefruit Mimosa – fresh muddled mint, pink grapefruit, prosecco; Dragonfruit Sangria – Dragonfruit Rosé, vodka, citrus, strawberries, peaches; Frozen Mudslide – Grey Goose vodka, Kahlua, Baileys, housemade vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup; Pomegranate Champagne Refresher – Veuve Clicquot Brut, pomegranate, fresh mint; and Blueberry Mimosa – JCB 69 Brut, fresh blueberries, maple. 

A wide variety of mocktails are also available such as the Lavender LemonadePassion Fruit Mimosa – strawberry, cucumber, basil, Topo Chico, fresh lime; Fresh OJ Fizz – fresh orange juice, diet ginger ale; and Virgin Skinny Pomegranate Mojito – pomegranate, lime, Texas honey, fresh mint.

Brunch is offered Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
