Dallas-based hospitality group, GAP Concepts, is proud to announce the opening of Lyla, a coastal Italian-inspired eatery. Located on McKinney Avenue on one of Uptown’s most recognizable patios, Lyla is a restaurant inspired by the beautiful destinations of Capri, Santorini, Mallorca, and St. Barths, with an elegant yet casual 3,000-square-foot dining room, cozy lounge, expansive patio, and hidden private dining room.
“We have loved this location on McKinney Avenue for years and now have the opportunity to bring it back and make it better than ever,” Lyla co-owner Veeral Rathod said. The three co-owners, Veeral Rathod, Obi Ibeto, and Reham Choudhury had a creative vision of transporting guests to a coastal getaway with whitewashed walls, lush plantings, and arched windows.
Enjoy a cocktail on the patio with a one-of-a-kind pergola cover and classic Azulejo blue and white tile accents outdoors. The airy atmosphere continues inside with an open bar area and an eclectic mix of alfresco furniture elements, including beachy banquettes, woven pendant lighting, feature art walls, and tropical greenery. The secret entry private dining room is perfect for hosting an intimate dinner.
“We hope Lyla becomes your place to relax with friends over drinks and bites, just like you would at a seaside café,” Ibeto said.
Chef Cristofer Sanchez, who has worked under Mario Carbone, Tyson Cole, and Jose Andres, leads the culinary team. The menu focuses on Italian coastal classics paired with a beautiful cocktail and wine program. Guests will enjoy the farm-to-table salads, handmade pasta, pizza, woodfired fish, chicken, and steak entrées, all designed to be shared amongst friends. Some stand-out dishes and cocktails include:

- Lobster Linguine: Fresh Linguine, Poached Lobster Tail, Romesco Cream Sause
