Julian Rodarte Moves Beyond Trinity Groves

The hospitality team behind Trinity Groves Restaurant Group announced today that acclaimed Chef and CEO Julian Rodarte, who was passed the baton by renowned American restaurateur Phil Romano, will be moving on from Trinity Groves where he spent the past 7 years. Rodarte opened Beto & Son with his father Beto Rodarte and Phil Romano in November 2016 at 23 years old. Since then, Rodarte was named CEO of the restaurant group and opened Lexy’s, Nitro Burger and Temakeria, Dallas’ first 2D restaurant. Beto & Son remains the most successful concept-to-date in the West Dallas Restaurant District.

During Rodarte’s career at Trinity Groves, he has garnered numerous accolades, which include: being named on the, “30 under 30” list; being featured alongside Patrick Mahomes in Essentia Water commercials; representing the United States in the “World Tapas Competition” in Spain; and premiering on countless shows on Food Network. It is safe to say that Trinity Groves has been a life-changing opportunity for the young chef, turned CEO.

Reflecting on his journey, Rodarte expressed gratitude towards Phil Romano, stating, “Phil Romano gave me my first at-bat to open my own restaurant when I was only 23 years old. His confidence in me catapulted my career. One of my favorite quotes is, ‘The affirmation of a king is worth more than silver and gold.’ I would not be here without Phil Romano’s confidence. In the coming years, I am thrilled about the expansion of our city’s culinary scene and eagerly look forward to contributing more iconic Dallas brands like Beto & Son, Lexy’s, and Temakeria.”

Rodarte cited the opportunities that have arisen for him across the country as the reason for his departure from Trinity Groves. “We have been discussing a transition due to the opportunities that have emerged nationwide. While Phil and I remain partners in the restaurants we created together, we believe it is essential to have someone dedicated to the day-to-day operations at Trinity Groves so that I can advance my career and Trinity Groves can continue to flourish. The future for Trinity Groves remains bright and with new development deals it is only a matter of time before it is even more of a major hub for business, dining and entertainment.”

The next phase of Trinity Groves will continue to attract people to the area with the development of new restaurants, residential apartments, office spaces, and additional retail and parking. Currently, the Dallas restaurant district is home to a unique collection of concepts including the Art Park, Beto & Son, Cake Bar, Holy Crust Pizza, Kate Weiser Chocolate, Lexy’s, Nitro Burger, St. Rocco’s New York Italian, Sum Dang Good Chinese and Temakeria.
