Truffle Week at Monarch and Omakase at Kessaku This Month

Monarch, the wood-fired modern Italian restaurant led by two-time Michelin-starred Chef Danny Grant, will celebrate all things decadence and truffles during Truffle Week from February 5th to 11th. At 6 p.m. each day, guests are invited to add on to their meal with a table-side experience of exquisite Black Truffle features and the option for a delicious Mashed Potato Trio featuring various truffle types. Details on the specific truffle features will be announced closer to the date.

Omakase at Kessaku Thursday, February 15th

Kessaku, the ultimate cocktail and sake lounge located on the 50th floor of The National, invites guests to continue their Valentine’s Day celebrations with a special omakase dinner. On Thursday, February 15th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., guests will indulge in a 9-12 course menu crafted by new sushi chef Jon Griffiths.

While guests will be given the final menu upon arrival, Kessaku has provided an example of what guests can expect. The evening will begin with a welcome cocktail, after which guests are invited to explore an inventive menu which could include dishes such as scallop sashimioysters with ponzu sauceflounder tiradito, a 4-piece nigiri selectionotsumamitableside temakiblack truffle miso soup, and more. The evening will end with dessert and a dessert cocktail. Additionally, sake will be paired with each course and guests will enjoy a short sake 101 during their meal. Relish in this unforgettable dining experience for $250 per person.
