The Charles, the stylish Italian restaurant with a Texas twist located in the Design District, is unveiling its Duro Summer Experience—a bold, refined four-course tasting menu available for a limited time this summer.
Priced at $99 per person, the seasonal menu features hand-cut pasta, wood-fired meats, and peak summer ingredients that showcase The Charles’ signature blend of Italian tradition and Texas flair. In addition to the set tasting menu, larger parties will enjoy a few handpicked classics from The Charles’ main menu, customized to the group size.

The experience begins with the Duro Summer Panzanella, a vibrant starter made with cured tomato, plum, whipped crème fraîche, basil pesto, and crunchy rosemary focaccia croutons. Next is the Duro Fritti—sweet corn and crab fritters made with semolina and served with zesty Meyer lemon aioli. The third course, Duro Crudo, features a refreshing hiramasa crudo paired with heirloom tomato tartare, cucumber, and crispy capers.
The pasta course, Duro Pasta, is a bright linguine al limone with a silky Meyer lemon butter sauce and topped with kaluga caviar. For the entrée, Duro Beef showcases wagyu picanha finished with balsamic, brown butter, sticky shallots, and baby kale. Dessert is the indulgent Duro Budino, a rich dark chocolate custard crowned with flamed Italian meringue, candied clementine, and peanut brittle.
The Charles is the flagship restaurant from Duro Hospitality—a collaborative venture by Chas Martin, Chef J Chastain, Benji Homsey, and Ross and Corbin See. Since opening in 2018, it has been a standout in Dallas dining, known for its lively atmosphere and inventive blend of Italian cuisine and local flavor.
