Three Dallas-Area Hotels with June Events

June is a good month to leave the house. Three Dallas-area hotels have programming worth circling on the calendar — a Route 66 celebration in Grapevine, an elevated happy hour in Westlake that makes oysters and caviar feel entirely reasonable on a Tuesday, and a Beyoncé-themed evening in Dallas that is exactly what it sounds like and better than you’d expect.

HOTEL VIN — GRAPEVINE

Hotel Vin is making the most of Route 66’s centennial with a collection of experiences running through June 20 that range from an overnight package to a rooftop bar series to a terrarium brunch. The Ultimate Route 66 Pit Stop package gives overnight guests vintage-inspired road snacks, a commemorative road map, a tasting flight of Texas wines, and a photo opportunity with VIVINessa — Hotel Vin’s 1973 Cadillac Eldorado, which is the kind of prop that makes an Instagram feel earned. The WineYard Grille + Bar patio has been transformed into a Route 66-inspired outdoor lounge with vintage décor, road-trip snacks, and cocktail flights with names like The Driver vs. Passenger Princess. The CaveSociety wine lounge is running a quiet retreat called the See You in 20 Club — a pause built for people who need twenty minutes away from everything, with good wine and no particular obligations.

Beyond the Route 66 programming, Hotel Vin has a strong June calendar on its own. Rioja After Dark turns the rooftop into a late-night DJ and cocktail situation on select Fridays and Saturdays — June 6, 13, 19, 26, and 27 from 9 p.m. to midnight, no cover. Honky Tonk Thursdays brings country dancing under the stars every other Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., also free, with 20% off dinner at Bacchus Kitchen + Bar before or after. The monthly Plant & Sip Terrarium Brunch is June 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. — a glass of wine, a guided instructor, and a succulent terrarium you take home for $55. Bar Method x Hotel Vin on June 27 runs an outdoor fitness class from 9:30 to 11 a.m. — capped at 50 guests, 20% off at Bacchus afterward, $33. And Vinyasa at Vin returns on select Sundays — yoga from 9 to 10 a.m., complimentary Hendrick’s Gin Superfood Cocktail after, 20% off brunch at Bacchus to follow, $30.

The FIFA World Cup Soccer Watch Series runs at Harvest Hall June 11 through July 19 on the big screens with food from all eight kitchens and drinks at the bar. On June 12 and 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Michelob ULTRA is running an inflatable soccer kick challenge on Peace Plaza for a chance to win tickets to a World Cup match at AT&T Stadium.

Hotel Vin is at 1 Vino Way, Grapevine.

THE RICARDO MARRIOTT — WESTLAKE

The Ricardo Marriott’s House of Toro Chophouse just launched Matador Hour, running Tuesday through Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the bar — $10 half dozen oysters, $10 martinis, $10 house wines, and caviar bumps. An elevated happy hour that has no business being this reasonably priced and is worth a weeknight detour from almost anywhere in North Dallas or Southlake.

Father’s Day weekend brings a Prix Fixe Dinner on Saturday, June 20 at $95 per person — bold cuts, signature House of Toro preparations, and a take-home souvenir for each dad at the table. Reservations required. That same morning, Morning Pilates on the Patio runs 10 to 11 a.m. in partnership with Prayers and Pilates Studio — $28, complimentary beverage after, 15% off lunch at Solana Kitchen + Lounge to follow, with local vendor pop-ups on the property.

The Ricardo Marriott is at 1401 Solana Boulevard, Westlake.

HOTEL MOCKINGBIRD — DALLAS

Hotel Mockingbird’s Cowgirl Confidential returns Friday, June 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Raven — this month themed around Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album, with live music drawn from the record, cocktails in partnership with SirDavis Whiskey, girl dinner specials, and cowgirl chic vendors for a full evening experience. The kind of event that fills up before the week it happens.

On Friday, June 26, Fashionably Late Friday runs 9 to 11 p.m. — a runway showcase by local designers, live DJ sets, and VIP bottle service where the fashion and the nightlife meet in the same room. Reservations recommended.
