Every year on July 3rd, half a million people pour into 4.4 square miles of Addison, and the town handles it without flinching. Kaboom Town! has been running since 1985, and it has earned its reputation — USA Today, Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast, the Wall Street Journal, and the American Pyrotechnics Association have all ranked it among the best fireworks shows in the country. This year carries extra weight: 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which means the crowds will be bigger, the national attention higher, and the planning more important than ever. Tickets to Addison Circle Park are moving fast. If you haven’t grabbed them, move on that first.
The main event is Addison Circle Park at 4970 Addison Circle. Gates open at 5pm. Here’s how the evening runs: Poo Live Crew performs at 6:30pm, followed by the Addison Airport Airshow at 7:30pm — skydivers, historic warbirds, and elite aerobatic performers. Presentation of Colors and National Anthem at 8pm. Emerald City All-Stars perform at 8:30pm. Fireworks launch at 9:30pm from the south end of the Addison Airport runway, west of the park — visible from anywhere in town. Emerald City All-Stars return at 10pm. The event runs until 11pm.
Park admission is $10 for ages 10 and up, $5 for ages 2–9, free under 2 (though a ticket is still required). All ticket sales are final. Once they sell out, the only guaranteed entry option is an official hotel package — exclusive hotel rate, six park tickets, and a commemorative picnic blanket — available through visitaddison.com/kaboom-town.
If you’re watching from outside the park, the fireworks are visible across all of Addison. The full 2026 watch party list will be posted closer to the event at addisonkaboomtown.com. In the meantime, here’s what’s confirmed and what’s worth booking now.
Ida Claire — It’s a Party!

Ida Claire throws its annual outdoor Kaboomtown Block Party on July 3 from 7 to 10:30pm, with a live DJ, yard games, and a menu built for the night. This one is in your inbox and fully confirmed. General admission is $10. VIP is $50 — curbside valet, reserved table seating, and a $20 food and beverage credit. The food: double smash cheeseburger with dijonnaise, ribs by the half rack, BBQ chicken halves, hot dog, mac and cheese, potato salad, and elote. Cocktails run a Blueberry Mule with 42 Below vodka and Fever Tree ginger beer, a margarita with Cazadores blanco, a Jungle Bird with Bacardi coconut rum and passionfruit, and a Patrón Shot Ski. Tickets at ida-claire.com.
Table 13 — Fine Dining Option
Table 13 is the elevated option for people who want a proper dinner alongside the show. The supper club has been a Kaboomtown regular, running a special menu with live music and patio fireworks access. Space is limited and fills up early — make a reservation well before July 3. This is the right call if you want to treat the night as a dinner occasion rather than a block party.
Nate’s Seafood & Steakhouse — A Kaboomtown Institution

Nate’s at 14951 Midway Road has been doing this since 1988 and shows up every year. The Louisiana-style seafood institution runs live music for Kaboomtown and has historically offered specials including deals on crab legs and crawfish alongside their regular Gulf Coast lineup. Happy hour runs 3–7pm. Check their Facebook page for 2026-specific Kaboomtown details as the date gets closer.
Lion & Crown — Inside the Park Perimeter
Lion & Crown sits right along the Addison Circle Park perimeter and has historically hosted one of the best-positioned watch parties in town — two patios, drinks, live entertainment, and fireworks practically overhead. It has run from 5pm to 2am in prior years. Confirm 2026 hours directly, but this is the spot if you want to be as close to the park as possible without a ticket.
Snuffers — Classic Kaboomtown
Snuffers at 4180 Belt Line Road is a CraveDFW favorite and a Kaboomtown regular. Live music and DJ sets run through the airshow and fireworks. Inside: the original Snuffers burger, hot dogs, and a crowd that’s been doing this for years. Simple, reliable, no pretension. Check their social media for 2026 specifics.
Bitter Sisters Brewery — The Low-Key Option
Bitter Sisters Brewery hosts a full Kaboomtown watch party and has historically run 4–10pm. Good beer, a relaxed crowd, and a vantage point for the fireworks without the intensity of the block parties. The family-owned craft brewery is the right call if you want a pint and a chair more than a DJ and a shot ski.

Taqueria La Ventana — The Parking Lot Party
Taqueria La Ventana at 4180 Belt Line Road runs a parking lot party with live music and DJ sets through the airshow and fireworks. Tacos, nachos, and a Mexican Candy shot to close it out. Confirm 2026 details closer to the event.
A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING
The fireworks are launched from the airport runway and visible from anywhere in Addison, which means you don’t have to be in the park or at a designated watch party to see them. A good open parking lot, a hotel balcony, or any clear line of sight to the west of the park will work. The show is also simulcast live on 100.3 JACK FM, so if you’re watching from your car or a patio without speakers, tune in.
Traffic after the fireworks is serious. Plan for it. The town encourages staying in the park or at a restaurant until 11pm when the crowd has thinned. Rideshare pickup and dropoff is designated at Beckert Park at 5000 Addison Circle — not at the park entrance. DART GoPass is another option if you’re coming from further out.
Hotel packages sell out. If you want guaranteed park entry and a room, book through the official site now. Addison has 23 hotels within its 4.4 square miles, and most will be full by July 3rd.
This is also America’s 250th birthday. The Patriotic Pergola inside Addison Circle Park will display the flags of all 50 states and five territories in the order they were admitted to the Union. Texas was 28th. The national eyes on this particular Kaboomtown will be unlike any year before it. Get there early, have a plan, and have a great Fourth.
