Sheraton Dallas Hosts Sheraton Dallas Hosts Event Feb. 2 to Benefit Artists Experiencing At -Risk Homelessness

Sheraton Dallas is proud to welcome guests and the local community to a gallery exhibition launch of artwork by artists of The Stewpot Art Program that will be on display at Sheraton Dallas. The event, Art Night at The Parlor, is on Friday, February 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the hotel’s upscale lounge bar, The Parlor, located inside Sheraton Dallas Hotel at 400 North Olive Street, Dallas, Texas 75201. At the event, attendees can sip on refreshments that will be served, view the artwork on display, speak to a few of the artists in attendance, and select pieces to purchase for their home, office, or as a gift for a friend. Guests of the gallery opening will have the option to purchase original works of art, which start at $50, first. Attendance is complimentary and does not require a reservation.

Stewpot Soup’s On! Returns to The Thompson February 5

The 16th annual Stewpot Alliance Soup’s On Luncheon and Art Show will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Thompson Dallas. Co-chairing the annual fundraising event benefitting The Stewpot are community leaders Leah Jordan and Eric Swindle along with Michelle and Rudy Segura. Vaughn and Tex Gross will act as honorary chairs.

Angry Dog Answers Claim Of Abusive Service To Homeless Man In Deep Ellum

This past Monday Luis Padilla and his wife Brittny decided to dine at Angry Dog in Deep Ellum. Luis is enrolled as a first year student at Baylor College of Dentistry and the couple live very near the Deep Ellum burger restaurant located on Commerce. As the couple walked to the front door they were approached by a chronically homeless man named Clint who make makes his home near the Deep Ellum restaurant. He panhandles a bit and seemingly sticks to himself. This day he asked the Padilla’s to feed him. Struck with compassion, the couple invite Clint into the restaurant to join them for a warm meal. Luis had heard about the award winning burgers at Angry Dog and was excited to sample them for himself.   Continue reading
