Last night we checked out the annual DIFFA Holiday Wreath Collection auction at McKinney Avenue Design District at Design Within Reach, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams and Nest. South of Knox on McKinney Avenue. Holiday revelers were able to bid on one-of-a-kind wreaths from national design gurus and local icons.
Each of the venues were in walking distance of each other and had a different theme: Prohibition Speakeasy, EuroPop Lounge and Glam Holiday Party and hosted signature cocktails, fabulous music, great food.
Chef Matt McCallister, currently at Campo Modern Country Bistro in Oak Cliff, was on hand with his house-made Morcilla. [rosht] also provided their Korean samples along with assorted cheeses from Whole Foods Market.
DIFFA is the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS that is one of the oldest organizations funding service and education programs in the US.
