Local Chef Otto Wants To Go Gangnam Style For A Month

psy-chef-bibigoby Steven Doyle

You remember Psy, the viral K-pop star who was responsible for that whole Gangnam thing. He is about to embark on a world tour and needs a chef to cook for him. So naturally he made a YouTube video about it rather than write a help-wanted ad. It is all part of a promotion with Bibigo, a Korean food web site.

The rules of the contest require candidates to upload videos of the cooking skills. The winner will receive two weeks training and take on the role of Psy’s chef for a month starting July 31, 2013. The salary is $40,000 plus expenses. Not a bad gig.

Chefs were asked to submit a video for consideration, and the video watching public will select the Psy-Chef.  As luck would have it Dallas has a chef in the running, and it is a perfect choice as far as we are concerned.

borsich

You may know Otto Borsich from Season Two of Top Chef, or perhaps as the quirky executive chef at central Market in Soutlake, Texas. The man has impeccable hair, a wardrobe that would make you go all Gangnam style, and can really cook. If all this wasn’t enough, his cheffy bio includes a stint aboard a nuclear submarine. We feel Borsich is the ideal candidate for the idiosyncratic Psy.

Check the chef’s video. the more views he has, the better the odds are h will be selected. Should he win Borsich will come back with some great photos and an even better story for us I am sure.
