Movember is a fundraiser that Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House participate in every year. This year, goodfriend will host a kick-off party on Saturday, November 1st and the final party Sunday, November 30th.

Co-owner Matt Tobin says, “ This year we are excited to have Ted Hoffman and FLY Barbershop involved – they have a mobile barbershop in an airstream. We will have a red carpet leading from the restaurant to their airstream. We decided that we wanted to make a bigger impact this year. Last year our team was in the top 10 in the Dallas area for raising money. By partnering with the other restaurants, we could make a bigger and more effective Dallas service industry team.” Their other partners include The Filmore Club, The Common Table, The Standard Pour, Cold Beer Co. and Blind Butcher.

FOSSIL will have their own team, but are involved in the kickoff at Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House as a sponsor. Fossil is providing 22 men’s and women’s watches for a raffle. Goodfriend will raffle off 10 at the November 1 party but continue to sell raffle tickets throughout the month and raffle off the other 12 at the final party on November 30th. You must be present to win any of the watches. Raffle tickets are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. Tickets will be sold at Goodfriend during the month of November with all proceeds benefiting Movember.

The Movember foundation has deemed this the “official-unofficial” kickoff party for the Dallas area. The group, Dallas Moustache, will be there along with regional guys in the Movember organization.

The bands make it a huge party.
