Join Chefs Stephan Pyles and Vijay Sadhu as they pay homage to former downtown Dallas restaurant Samar by Stephan Pyles with a one-night-only pop-up at Stephan Pyles Flora Street Café. On Friday, December 27, 2019, Flora Street Café will be transformed into Chef Pyles’ celebrated “Silk Road-Spice Route”-inspired restaurant featuring a four-course menu with optional wine pairings, belly dancers, and an appearance by former Executive Chef of Samar Vijay Sadhu, one of the recent victors on “Beat Bobby Flay”.

Samar was inspired by a collection of flavors Pyles acquired from his travels to Spain, Morocco, Turkey, Greece, Lebanon and India. It was named “Best New Restaurant 2009” and received a four star review from the Dallas Morning News, was nominated for a 2010 James Beard Award for “Best New Restaurant in America,” and was named one of the “Best New Restaurants 2010” by Esquire Magazine and Texas Monthly. Samar by Stephan Pyles was also a James Beard semi-finalist for Best New Restaurant in America.

CraveDFW named Samar by Stephan Pyles one of our favorite date night restaurants as it was a surprise of flavors and a true show with its open kitchen concept. I personally remember many fantastic nights at Samar, and in particular dishes such as Pyle’sFoie Gras Brulee Pedro Ximenez Quince and Crispy Jamon Serrano and Mussels Marinated Escabeche with Pears, Sherry, and Serrano Chili Infused Cream Broth.

A night at Samar takes place December 27th at 6:30pm at a cost of $125 ($155 with wine pairings). The special night takes place at Flora street located at 2330 Flora Street in Dallas. Please call 214.580.7000 to reserve your seats. Check out this menu!
