
Harwood International — the creative developer behind Dallas’ 19-city-block Harwood District — is proud to announce a landmark achievement: Hôtel Swexan has been awarded the distinguished One Key distinction by the MICHELIN Guide. In tandem, the hotel’s signature restaurant Stillwell’s has earned the Recommended by MICHELIN designation. Together, these honors reinforce Harwood International’s legacy of excellence in design, dining, and hospitality.

Opened in 2023, Hôtel Swexan rises 20 stories above the Harwood District. With 134 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites, the property blends European craftsmanship with Texan hospitality: rich wood tones, marble accents, bespoke furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering sweeping views of the Dallas skyline. The hotel’s name itself — “Swexan” (a fusion of Swiss and Texan) — nods to Harwood International’s Swiss roots and its deep ties to Texas.
Within the hotel, Stillwell’s stands among Dallas’ most celebrated dining destinations, having earned its Recommended by MICHELIN recognition for consecutive years. Chef Josh Healy leads the menu, which highlights Harwood Premium Beef — sourced from the owners’ private family ranch — anchoring a modern steakhouse experience rooted in Texas ranching heritage. The ambiance features mid-century-inspired design and attentive service, delivering an elevated hospitality experience reflective of Hôtel Swexan’s vision.

Also recognized by the MICHELIN Guide in the Harwood District is Mercat Bistro, a cherished Parisian-inspired café that received the “Recommended by MICHELIN” status as well. Together, these honors — for Hôtel Swexan, Stillwell’s, and Mercat Bistro — represent a triple-distinction for Harwood International and underscore the district’s growing international acclaim.
