CROW MUSEUM OF ASIAN ART PRESENTS U.S. DEBUT OF THE CRITICAL DICTIONARY OF SOUTHEAST ASIA BY HO TZU NYEN OPENING SEPT. 25

The Crow Museum of Asian Art of The University of Texas at Dallas will present the U.S. premiere of The Critical Dictionary of Southeast Asia by internationally renowned artist Ho Tzu Nyen featuring an enthralling, constantly evolving moving-image installation. The exhibition opens Sept. 25, 2021, and continues through Jan. 30, 2022 at the museum’s location in the Dallas Arts District, 2010 Flora St. 

The Critical Dictionary of Southeast Asia is part of an ongoing project that grows, generates and provides critical insight into the pluralistic definitions of the territories under the term “Southeast Asia.” Born out of recognition for how sweeping the term “Southeast Asia” is, the project considers what makes up an area not unified by language, religion or political power.

Grand opening of Fajita Pete’s in Lakewood Dallas

Fajita Pete’s, the “fresh off the grill” fajita catering and delivery concept, celebrated the grand opening of its newest Dallas-area location in Lakewood on Thursday, Sept. 2, at 1920 Abrams Parkway. The 1,600-square-foot-space is located in the Lakewood Shopping Center and will be the restaurant chain’s 23rd location.

The Fajita Pete’s – Lakewood location is spearheaded by husband-and-wife team, Hugh and Rebekah Guill of Smith Restaurant Group, which is named after their 3-year-old daughter. The Guills have been actively involved in Fajita Pete’s since 2018 and Hugh currently serves as their Chief Brand Officer.

Rhonda McCullar Promoted to Chef de Cuisine of Uchi Dallas and Uchiba

Hai Hospitality today announced the appointment of D/FW native Rhonda McCullar to Chef de Cuisine of Uchi Dallas and upstairs concept Uchibā, effective immediately.  Chef McCullar, known for being a vegetarian who creates protein dishes with the skill and deftness of her meat-consuming culinary counterparts, now leads the kitchens of both Uchi and Uchibā in Dallas.
