The Allstate Red River Rivalry, featuring the University of Texas Longhorns vs. the University of Oklahoma Sooners, has been a State Fair tradition since 1929. In 2024, it marks the 95th consecutive matchup at the fair, now enhanced by both teams being part of the NCAA Southeastern Conference (SEC). Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. Central Time, and fans are encouraged to arrive early for security checks and to enjoy the fair.

With the big Texas-OU Red River Rivalry this weekend there are plenty of activities for visiting revelers and local supporters alike. We came up with a few suggestions for your partying needs whether you plan on enjoying the game in the comfort of your own digs, or out among the masses.
The big non-partisan party will take place on the Plaza at American Airlines Center to watch the game in the comfort of your own lawn chair. Set up time begins at 10am Saturday morning. If you are an Oklahoma fan the official headquarters for your partying needs begins tonight at the Henderson Tap House on Henderson Avenue. The OU Alumni Club of Dallas invites you to join them at the Tap House from 6 to 8pm with their annual raffle benefiting the OU Alumni Scholarship fun at 7:30. Happy Hour runs from 3 to 7pm with special beer prices and half price pizza. Continue reading
