FREE ICE CREAM SANDWICH for every guest who asks at Kenny’s Burger Joint now through Sunday
Kenny Bowers has decided between the hot temperatures, the political strife in the country and everything else going on that people need a break. Bowers remembers the good old days, when summer meant nothing more stressful than chasing the ice cream man down the street. Bowers has decided to become the Ice Cream Man instead.
At both Kenny’s Burger Joint locations (Plano & Frisco), guests who ask will be presented with a free ice cream sandwich now through Sunday, August 7.

Norma’s Continues Free Thanksgiving Tradition
This year, Norma’s Cafe, Dallas’ dining icon that has served DFW home cooking for more than 63 years, continues a 31 year long tradition as it opens its Oak Cliff doors on Thursday, Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for its annual free Thanksgiving dinner.
Guests taking part in the free Thanksgiving dinner will be served a feast of holiday favorites, including turkey and dressing with giblet gravy and cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, English peas, salad, rolls, fruit and dessert. The free meal will only be available at the original Norma’s Cafe Oak Cliff location on 1123 W. Davis Street in Dallas. The Shops at Willow Bend Launches Free Weekly Outdoor Summer Movie Series
The Shops at Willow Bend is launching a free weekly outdoor summer movie series, offering family-friendly films alongside high-quality dining options.
Every Tuesday evening from June 4 through July 30, a different movie will be shown beginning at 8:30 p.m. in the open lawn space in The District. Moviegoers can bring blankets and lawn chairs as they enjoy popular movies such as Trolls, Spider Man, Coco and The Secret Life of Pets, among others. Continue reading

The Slow Bone and Mockingbird Both Donating Holiday Meals To Anyone
The Slow Bone (serving from 12 PM- 4 PM) and Mockingbird Diner (serving from 12 PM- 3 PM) to Host Freebird Coalition – Annual Free Thanksgiving Meal.
Jeffery Hobbs of The Slow Bone and Jack Perkins of The Mockingbird Diner will host a free Thanksgiving meal for anyone in need on November 22nd. This will be the fifth year that The Slow Bone gathers an annual team of volunteers to serve: the homeless, first responders, and people throughout the community suffering from food insecurity. Mockingbird Diner will be hosting it’s second annual free Thanksgiving meal in conjunction. Making a great taco has not escaped the hands of chef Mo Assi who was formerly executive chef at Perry’s Steakhouse, Dallas Chop House, Lawry’s and Capital Grille for a dozen years. The man definitely knows meat and he is also familiar with what the people in North Texas want to eat. Assi opened Crush Taco a little over a year ago and has been crushing the taco scene since.
