The PoBoy Shop Opens in Preston Center

Opening Monday, July 7 in Preston Center, The PoBoy Shop is bringing bold po’boys, house-prepared meats, and flavorful Cajun sides to the fast-casual scene. This new eatery comes from the team behind Evan’s Meat Market and is built around the same attention to detail and Southern flavors that made their first concept a local favorite.

Owner Evan Meagher, originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, created The PoBoy Shop after his po’boy lunch specials at Evan’s Meat Market gained a loyal following. Now, he’s turning that demand into a full restaurant dedicated to the food he grew up with—done his way.

First Look: Wicked Po Boys

Something wicked this way comes.  We sat down with the owners of the Wicked Po Boys, Joey Le and Lan Chi Le. The couple soft opened the new restaurant today and will officially open with a full swing tomorrow (Wednesday, June 26, 2012).

The pair are definitely NOLAphiles and appreciate the intricacies of the food found in the Big Easy. We did all the press release fun yesterday, but today we went in for a First Look and have plenty of food photos and a fun Q&A with the owners.  Continue reading

Wicked Po Boy Opening This Week

Inspired by the distinct flavors of New Orleans cuisine, husband and wife team, Joey Le and Lan Chi Le will open their first fast-casual concept, Wicked Po’Boys, in Richardson this Wednesday, June 27th.

After moving to Dallas, Chi realized how much she missed the authentic, hole-in-the wall po’boys during her college studies in New Orleans. The couple began working on recipes and sketching ideas for a restaurant. They eventually hired Plan B Group (Royce Ring and Alex Urrunaga) to assist them in defining the concept and Gin Braverman of Gin Designs to consult on design.                  Continue reading
