Outlaw Burgers has been around Roanoke for a few years now but I only recently decided to stop by. I had heard rumor that they made a good burger and those rumors were true. It’s a kitchy little place just off 377 in old Roanoke. Walk in and order at the counter. The menu is a chalk board above the counter. Monday was the official opening of Tacos & Avocados in Roanoke. It was only a week ago that Cowboy Chow shut the doors for renovations in preparation for the new culinary direction of T&A. Cowboy Chow To Close In Roanoke, Replaced With Tacos & Avocados

Chef Jason Boso, best known for his thriving Twisted Root Burger Company, has announced plans to open a new concept called Tacos & Avocados. The fast, casual taco restaurant will feature quality ingredients in a down scale setting, with a focus on traditional and some not so traditional Mexican flavors. The space will also include a full bar with eight tequila-infused frozen margaritas, such as ginger-peach and watermelon-mint. The concept will also feature a self-serve and honor system paleta cart in the middle of the restaurant. Just slide a dollar into the coffee can and take any flavor you like.

Could this be Boso’s next big Twisted Root?
