Nosh Bistro, Chef Avner Samuel’s evolved restaurant concept coming to Preston Hollow this summer, announces Lori Finkelman as Chef de Cuisine.

Finkelman brings over 40 years of experience to the Nosh Bistro team, previously serving as Executive Chef for ExxonMobil World Headquarters for 20 years.  Additionally, she served as the co-founding Executive Chef of The Riviera.

“Lori’s culinary expertise will be instrumental to the success of Nosh Bistro,” says Mehrdad Moayedi, president and CEO of Centurion Development Group and new partner of Samuel on Nosh Bistro. “I look forward to seeing the collaboration between Chef Avner and Lori to create a truly unique experience for Dallas diners.”

Finkelman’s accolades include being named one of the Top Female Chefs in America by American Express and 10 Best New Chefs in America by Food & Wine during her tenure with The Riviera.

“Lori and I were classically trained and began our careers at three-star Michelin restaurants, so when it comes to creating food that takes diners to another place with flavor, texture and pairings; that’s something we’re proud of and know well,” said Samuel. “We don’t compromise on quality or technique, and the menu we’ve created is a strong fusion of our signature styles we incorporate when it comes to cooking.”

The full menu is available on Nosh Bistro’s website, but a few favorites include:

Roasted Lamb Shank in pomegranate red wine glace on fork crushed Yukon potato chive galette
Sumac Dusted Diver Scallops a La Plancha with roasted Israeli couscous, cured olive & herb sauce
Za’atar Crusted Tuna with seasonal vegetables, watermelon radish and avocado lime purée
Braised Short Rib on basmati mujadara rice with lentil du puy, crispy red onions and natural jus.

“Between the two of us, we have careers that span more than 90 years, so taking that experience and the various paths that have led us to where we are now have really been the inspiration behind the culinary identity of what Nosh Bistro in Preston Hollow will be,” said Samuel.

Located at 8611 Hillcrest Road, Nosh Bistro will be open for lunch and dinner daily and brunch on Sundays. The cuisine is globally inspired with strong Mediterranean, American and Asian cultural influences.

The official opening date and a schedule of cooking classes will be announced soon.
