Every day is a good day to eat barbecue, but when doing so helps support kids in need, well that’s even better. On Wednesday, August 23, Lane’s OAK’D BBQ is donating 25% of gross sales to Kidd’s Kids, the charity founded by legendary radio host Kidd Kraddick. The program will run all day at both locations—Greenville Avenue in Dallas and Belt Line Road in Addison.
Kidd’s Kids was founded in 1991, and since its inception, it has taken more than 1,000 children with life-altering or life-threatening conditions and their families on an all-expense-paid trip to Walt Disney World. After Kraddick’s untimely passing in 2013, the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show has stayed committed to continuing the organization’s mission. And on August 23, you can help them make kids’ dreams come true, simply by eating barbecue.
Lane’s OAK’D BBQ is known for its delicious smoked meats, including brisket, beef rips, pork ribs, smoked turkey, and sausage, as well as its sandwiches, scratch-made sides, and decadent desserts. There’s also a full bar pouring beer, wine, and cocktails.
To support the cause, the five members of the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show will be on-site at the Addison location for lunch, so you can stop by to meet Kellie, Big Al, J-Si, Ana, and Justin.
“We’ve long admired Kidd’s Kids and recognize the great work they’re doing to brighten the lives of children and their families,” said Michael Lane, chef and founder of Lane’s OAK’D BBQ. “We’re thrilled to support their efforts the best way we know how—by cooking and feeding people. We hope all our friends and neighbors, and lots of people we haven’t met yet, will join us at our restaurants on August 23 to help us support this great cause. The more you order, the more we can donate!”
Stop into Lane’s OAK’D BBQ in Dallas or Addison on Wednesday, August 23. All you have to do is make a purchase, and 25% of sales will go directly to Kidd’s Kids. For more information, including locations and menus, please visit oakdbbq.com
