Tarrant Area Food Bank and Harvesting in Mansfield change the time of their Thanksgiving food distribution

Harvesting in Mansfield will be hosting a mega mobile event Monday, November 21st from 9a-Noon; this is a NEW time change than what was previously reported.

As families continue to struggle financially through the current inflation crisis and grocery store shelves remained sparse with product due to supply chain issues, the Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) wants to make it easier on those who are still struggling to provide food on the table.

Tarrant Area Food Bank Serves the Fort Worth Community with Their Mega Mobile Market

TAFB’s Mega Mobile Market, which is a large-scale food distribution event that will be held weekly through the month of November. Each family will receive approximately 100 pounds of high-quality produce, meat, dairy and groceries. Last Friday, TAFB held a successful Mega Mobile Market at Herman Clark Stadium, which served 1,700 families. The goal for this week’s return market is to serve 1,750 families.

FW Empty Bowls Food Bank Event May 1

Tarrant Area Food Bank’s annual Empty Bowls fundraiser returns on Wednesday, May 1 with new restaurants, art demonstrations and more. The event takes place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth. Tickets are now on sale at tafb.org.

With each ticket purchase, guests can select a bowl handcrafted by local artists and sample soups, desserts and other small bites from local restaurants and chefs. NTFB Empty Bowls March 5

The North Texas Food Bank will host its 20th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser, presented by Kroger, on March 5 at their new distribution center in Plano, the Perot Family Campus.

In addition to soup and other bowl-friendly fare from more than 20 North Texas restaurants, attendees can select a handcrafted bowl from some of Texas’ finest artist as a memento of the day. Guests can also enjoy live entertainment, a silent auction, and more. Continue reading
