Dallas’ favorite all-local farmers market – Good Local Markets launches the 2018 season on March 10 at the White Rock locale (9150 Garland Road). A 2nd location at Paul Quinn College (3837 Simpson Stuart Road) takes place every Thursday beginning on March 15.
Every Good Local Markets vendor grows or makes what they sell with no distribution. GLM vendors offer produce, artisanal foods and handcrafted goods, all grown or made within 150 miles of Dallas. Continue reading

This year’s A Community Cooks takes place 6PM on Thursday, April 23rd at the WE Over Me Farm at Paul Quinn College. Enjoy the culinary delights of DFW’s top chefs, prepared right on the football field-turned-farm, while sipping on beer, wine, and other farm-inspired libations. Come for the food. Stay for the company, live music and dancing.
All proceeds from this event go directly toward the WE Over Me Farm and community education programs designed to increase healthy eating and food access in the Highland Hills section of South Dallas – a federally-recognized food desert. Continue reading

A Community Cooks is an annual fundraiser to benefit the We Over Me Farm at Paul Quinn College, a student-run organic farm dedicated to improving the well being of its surrounding Highland Hills community and other communities in the Southern sector of Dallas by providing hands-on educational experiences and fresh, healthy affordable food options.
Last night guests from the community converged on the remnants of a football field that is now the bulk of the farm on the Paul Quinn campus. Each year since converting the field into farmland we notice new improvements, and the ever sense of success. This year’s event will take place on Thursday, April 11 at 6pm.
A Community Cooks features an open-air, springtime grand tasting experience at WE Over Me Farm, with acclaimed culinary leaders serving everyone food from their pop-up kitchens, and providing an immersion into the wild fire energy of the organic business that began in 2009.
