Preston Nicola Gone, Enter Nick and Sam’s Grill Park Cities

Just weeks ago I stopped in to dine at Ristorante Nicola on Preston Road. The promise of the new chef breathing valued life into the restaurant was at once exciting and full of promise. Owner Richard Gussoni had just imported CIA Hyde Park grad Justin Melnick to the Dallas area and I thought the restaurant was back on track from what had been a bit lackluster previous year.            Continue reading

New Chef, New Menu at Ristorante Nicola

Ristorante Nicola has undergone a few changes as of late with the addition of a new chef, Justin Melnick, and new menus. You will note the new dinner menu beginning Saturday, June 16, and the luncheon menu on Monday, June 18.

Chef Melnick is a Northeastern transplant that has traveled extensively throughout Italy and began his love for cooking at a young age in his family’s own restaurant, Tutto del Cose Buono. The chef is degreed from the renowned Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, and immediately made off to Boston where he worked for both Barbara Lynch and Todd English.      Continue reading
