LongHorn Steakhouse Opens in Plano

Plano LongHorn Steakhouse.jpg

LongHorn Steakhouse was founded in 1981 by George McKerrow, Jr. and his father. McKerrow ran restaurants in San Francisco and had experience through the 70’s and 80’s before opening their first location, originally called LongHorn Steaks Restaurant & Saloon, on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.  Soon LongHorn was known for their top quality steaks grilled in a butter sauce.

If you stopped by for lunch, you’ll find sandwiches, burgers, soups, and salads. A lunch combination menu which features a choice of either a salad or soup with one of the restaurant’s sandwiches is a hot item. When it’s time for dinner, you’ll have a choice of chicken, shrimp, ribs, pork, tilapia, and salmon entrees. Continue reading

The annual crawfish boil is the biggest fundraiser for the Dallas Alumni Chapter, and the money raised supports our scholarship program. Each year, the Dallas chapter awards 4 four-year scholarships to high school seniors from the Dallas area who plan to attend our beloved university. Continue reading
