Festival of Joy at Klyde Warren Park April 18th

 A kaleidoscope of colors, flowers, music, dancing and more will transform Klyde Warren Park as the seventh-annual Festival of Joy returns Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Inspired by a global Indian tradition celebrated in cities around the world, the free family-friendly event kicks off with a vibrant parade and momentous chariot pull followed by a day of crafts, yoga, wellness activities, performances, face painting and more. Presented by the popular East Dallas restaurant Kalachandji’s,the Festival of Joy will feature a free vegetarian feast at 5 p.m. and culminate with a soulful concert at 7 p.m. as the sun sets in the heart of the city.

Experience the sights, sounds and flavors of India at the sixth-annual Festival of Joy this Saturday (April 26) at Klyde Warren Park from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Celebrating Indian culture, the free family-fun event kicks off with a festive parade throughout the Dallas Arts District, followed by a colorful day of music, performances and cultural exhibits revealing the spiritual heart of India. Enjoy folk dances, yoga, kids activities, face painting, a clothing bazaar, ask-a-monk opportunities, a free vegetarian feast and more.  Presented by Kalachandji’s, the beloved event culminates with a concert at 7 p.m. featuring The Mayapuris.

Kent Rathbun’s Curbside BBQ Moves to Klyde Warren Park

Over the past 25 years, Kent Rathbun has left an indelible mark on the Dallas food scene, first with award-winning restaurants like Abacus and Jasper’s, and most recently with his mobile barbecue operation. Rathbun’s Curbside BBQ launched during the pandemic, offering drive-up smoked meats to diners hungry for great food during strange times. After a stint parked along the Katy Trail, Rathbun has moved the operation to Klyde Warren Park, where he’s now serving food Thursdays through Sundays beginning at 8 a.m.

Fletcher’s Corny Dogs to Open Permanent Location at Klyde Warren Park

Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs will become the first-ever “permanent” food truck in Klyde Warren Park (KWP). Visitors to the Park will find them stationed on the East Lawn, opposite of Food Truck Lane, by the soon to be revealed Nancy Best Fountain. The Fletcher’s truck will sell all six varieties of Corny Dogs, Seasoned Curly Fries and Lemonade. The new truck is being specially designed and branded and will make its debut later this Fall to coincide with the official opening of the new fountain at KWP. Until then, FCD will make special appearances at select KWP events with one of the brands mobile trailers.
