Opening in January 2012, The Mason Bar is a gastro pub located in an iconic Masonic Lodge in Uptown Dallas. Developed by long-time Dallas entrepreneur Brandt Wood and the McFadden Group of New York City. The Mason Bar will be about enjoying the timeless tradition of food and beverage with friends.

We stopped by Glass Uptown last night to check out the unveiling of their large patio club that was billed as a rooftop bar and called Revive. The night would be catered by Nick and Sam’s, DJ’s and cocktails (one of our favorite combinations). But as the winds picked up so did the awnings outside, leaving the party somewhat lacking for its own premier.

We have more photos from last Friday’s version of the 828 pop-up bar. In speaking with Michael Martensen, he said that the space is so much fun that he is considering taking the location for his next venture and keep it much the way you see it today. We just spoke with Eddie “Lucky” Campbell, bartender to the stars, and he filled us in on a pop-up bar that he and partner Michael Martensen will operate starting this Thursday at 6pm and will be open each Thursday, Friday and Saturday through the end of the month of October. We often speak about the cocktail scene in Dallas, and there are a handful of talented barmen that belong to the Bartending Guild that are cutting edge material. Rocco Milano is one of these barmen.
Milano is opening Private Social tonight with a private VIP party, and then to the public tomorrow. Milano started bartending near the Jersey Shore and quickly took a stint at Posada de Santiago in Guatemala, then moved to Santa Cruz where he was from originally. Continue reading

Opening up in the old Park space on Henderson, Swig bills itself as a Beer-garden and Speakeasy in combination with its bar the Gin Mill, located in the former Bar Celine spot in back. With much of the interior remaining the same Henderson Ave residents will feel right at home in the space now owned by the guys behind Capital Pub.
Swig boasts an impressive beer menu divided by country of origin as well as a very nice selection of Gins, Scotches, Whiskeys, and Bourbons in addition to its completely revamped menu. Continue reading

Country music lovers will get to boot scoot once again as the popular 90s country club Denim & Diamonds is returning to the area with a grand opening this Friday night at 17727 Addison Road in the old Cape Buffalo location.
For the uptown crowd there is a lot of new life coming in the next few weeks with the soft opening of Avenu last Friday in the old Aura location and soon to be open Rumor Lounge & The Den in the old Liar’s Den location. Current hotspot Glass will also be opening a rooftop patio and naming it Revive for everyone to enjoy the view and also the same ownership group will be taking over Skye Bar and giving it a facelift and renaming it Red Lights.
