Cedars Backyard Opens November 4th

Business partners Jeffrey Yarbrough and Chad Boyle are pleased to announce the opening of The Cedars Backyard, Friday, November 4 in the dynamic Cedars neighborhood.

The concept is a first of its kind in Dallas, utilizing a shipping container as a fully operational bar. Guests have the option to enjoy one of the fifteen beers on tap, tap cocktails, or traditional well cocktails, all while hanging out and enjoying the best possible view of the Dallas skyline. The Cedars Backyard provides a kitschy trailer park vibe, but more Airstream than Winnebago.   Continue reading

Look for the new reservation bar that is attached to the space that will soon become the Establishment to open this week. Brian Williams and Michael Martensen both hosted a sneak preview for friends and family this past Friday evening, and we were able to get a glimpse of the bar.

Currently the bar has no name and Martensen said they are still tweaking the logo. Rumor has it that the space might be named Bar Smyth, but that could change.     Continue reading

La Reve To Open Pozo Mercado In St John’s Wood Space

From the guys at Sfuzzi and Standard Pour (La Reve Consultants) look for a new hot spot to open on McKinney in Uptown Dallas called Pozo Mercado . One of the terms I heard was Fresh Mex, but the terminology may change. Regardless, look for some fashion of Mexican food in the new spot.    Continue reading

Succulent Scottish eggs and other pub fare where delivered by the coconscious staff and bar expected at any of the five locations the Londoner has around Dallas.      Continue reading

There have been rumblings at the old Elbow Room as they make final preparations to re-open their doors. I can almost smell that incredible pizza and the slurpy good drinks as I envision my butt sitting on the covered portion of the back patio. You might recall we reported the closure back in early December.   Continue reading
