Dirk ist glücklich über diese beiden

by Steven Doyle

The Common Table, one of Crave’s favorite brew pubs in Dallas (OK, we like ’em all) is celebrating its one year anniversary. Traditionally the one year gift is paper, but they plan to host so much more. Read on my friends for another chance to see Jeff Fryman and Corey Ponds in lederhosen:

Three New Uptown Pubs On Way

Primebar Interior

by Steven Doyle

Soon you will have more brew options in Dallas’ sexy Uptown with a few new concepts about to emerge on the scene that will excite some and prove to others that our local economy is on the upswing.

In the old Maguires Uptown location we will soon be able to enjoy the beautiful Chicagoland import Primebar. Labeled as a contemporary ale house or urban lodge, Primebar is a bit elegant with sleek lines and warm tones and offers over 40 craft beers on tap and a decent wine selection. The menu is mostly of the two-fisted variety as you will find upscale burgers and sliders (imagine that) along with a few other notable entrees under the local and fresh moniker.  Continue reading

Easy Star All Stars – First Light

by Bryan Coonrod

Not as much of a normal band but more of a concept with rotating artists filling in as musicians on each release. Originally starting out as a studio band for the Easy Star record label in 1997 they became a hit among reggae fans with the release of “Dub Side Of The Moon” a compilation of Pink Floyd songs remade in the rastafarian style.  Continue reading

The Crave – Breaking The Silence

by Bryan Coonrod

With a band name like The Crave  we had to review them. Hailing from Brighton in the UK, but yet sounding very American with anthem rock songs similar to Buckcherry and Nickleback, this new release should be playing on your radio very soon. If this band wasn’t meant for the pages of Crave DFW I don’t know what band would, the lead track is called Cooking In The Kitchen what a great fit for us.  Continue reading
