Sylvan | Thirty will soon be home to Houndstooth Coffee, the popular coffee shop that opened its first Dallas location last year on Henderson Avenue. In addition to its coffee and pastries, the Sylvan | Thirty shop will also feature a still-in-development food concept that will be new to the company.

West Dallas and Oak Cliff residents will soon be able to experience authentic French crepes, thanks to Frenchman Julien Eelsen’s newest venture: Whisk Crêpes Café, an upscale fast-casual restaurant that’s expected to open in early 2015.
The 20-seat, 645-square foot creperie, located next door to Teiichi Sakurai’s ramen shop, will serve sweet and savory crepes, as well as sides, wine, beer and cider.
“Since moving to the United States from Paris six years ago, I’ve wanted to bring the traditional French crepe experience to my new hometown. After touring Sylvan | Thirty, I knew that my concept would be a great addition to the development,” said Eelsen, who was raised in Paris and has a family history of hotels and restaurants in the Normandy region. The highly regarded local specialty coffee shop, Pearl Cup Coffee, has announced it’s newest location at 2701 Custer Pkwy, Suite 917 in the II Creeks shopping center in Richardson. The II Creeks shopping center is a neighborhood supported location and home of Richardson Community Theatre, as well as wonderful restaurants and fitness centric businesses. In addition to their award winning coffee, the location will also sell beer and wine, and their expansive patio will be the centerpiece. The location is set to open late August or early September.
